The graduate course in Total Design: Design Methodology presents solid design methodology to allow participants to identify opportunities and necessities, to solve problems and fill gaps in the job market. The course prepares professionals to develop strategic research, providing the tools to create innovative and distinctive projects.
Oriented to use the methodology of Strategic Design as a means of finding innovative solutions, the course emphasizes contextual knowledge, through market and consumer research and analysis, to identify opportunities for Design and business. Students will form teams to develop projects that put into practice the project theories and tools explored during the course.

The course is intended for those who want to grow professionally and who see a future as a designer or entrepreneur. It is ideal for acquiring new stimulus and opportunities for those seeking to continue their education and prepare themselves for an innovative market. Students will transit between thinking and making, appreciating every stage of their studies. They will develop an holistic and conscious focus for contextualizing project opportunities.
Students research in several areas of Design and learn how to articulate this knowledge, building a theoretical repertoire and developing their experimental capacity, also generating ideas and analysis.
The course is designed for professionals with degrees in higher education in the various areas of Design, Communication and Marketing, Architecture, Fashion, Information Technologies, and the Creative and Cultural Industries.
Eduardo Pucu, course coordinator, holds a masters in Design, specifically in Image and Culture, from PUC-RJ, and a masters in Strategic Design, from the Politecnico di Milano. He is a specialist in Ergonomics Design from PUC-RJ. He has served as Strategic Designer in several consulting companies in Brazil and abroad, and has developed projects for Nokia, P & G, Cultura Inglesa, Brasil Brokers, Icatu Seguros, Itaú, and others. He’s the project manager at Interação Pesquisa, with experience in Design, Strategic Design, Branding, Research, and Ethnography.
