Within this context, the figure of Project Manager takes on a key importance in organizations and companies of all sizes, as they play a critical role in terms of designing efficient business strategies that take full advantage of the available resources. Meanwhile, globalisation, the emergence of new competitors and sudden changes in business strategies mean that, as well as being equipped with an in-depth knowledge of project management, Project Managers also need to have highly developed personal skills and performance competencies.In response to this business demand, the Master in Project Management is designed to equip executives to lead, plan, organize and oversee complex global projects efficiently and effectively.

    Framework, Strategy and Business Analysis

    Business Analysis and Project Financing - 3 ECTS:

    PMO and convergence between business strategy and project strategy.
    Business Case and Project Analytics: quantitative and qualitative project viability.
    Agile and Adaptive Project Management.
    Waterfall Project Management.

    Module 3.
    Triple Constraint (CTS) and Resource Management

    Scope and Requirement Management (Delivery) - 3 ECTS: 

    Planning, executing and controlling the scope of the project.
    Project delivery based on the Task Decomposition approach.
    Project requirements, specifications, constraints and assumption.
    Workshop on scope and requirement management with the JIRA tool

    Timeline Management (Planning) - 3 ECTS:

    Defining, sequencing, goal-setting and timescale estimation for activities.
    Critical path and critical chain.
    Timeline monitoring and control techniques.
    Microsoft Project workshop

    Cost and Resource Management. Earned Value Management (EVM). - 4 ECTS:

    Budgeting techniques, cost estimation and the S-curve.
    Learning curve, probabilistic approach and reserve analysis.
    Allocation and monitoring based on resource breakdown techniques.
    Resource histogram, levelling and optimization.

    Module 4.
    Quality, Risk and Purchasing Management

    Quality Management and Process Improvement. Lean Project Management - 3 ECTS:

    Focus points and philosophy of the PMI's TQM.
    Project Quality Planning, Assurance (QA) and Control (QC) techniques.
    PDCA, incremental and radical improvement, shoring through regulations.
    Lean Project Management: Six Sigma as the ultimate quality management model.

    Risk and Uncertainty Management - 3 ECTS:

    The uncertainty spectrum of Project Management. Updated approach in line with PMBOK7
    Qualitative (Prioritization) and quantitative (reserve analysis).
    Designing a contingency plan: shortlist, triggers, risk owners, strategies, reserves, backing, residual and secondary risks, contracts, etc.
    Practical workshop on probabilistic risk modelling using Monte Carlo analysis

    Purchasing and Contract Management (Project Work) - 3 ECTS:

    Acquisition planning, execution, monitoring and control.
    Make or Buy - Advantages and disadvantages of the sole seller/buyer relationship. 
    Types of contract (advantages and disadvantages) and distribution of financial risk.
    Criteria for source selection and for offer evaluation, and weighting matrices

    Module 5.
    Leadership and Integration Management

    Executive Skills, Leadership and Remote Teams. PM Ethics (Team Performance) - 3 ECTS:

    Virtual or remote teams (teleworking): philosophy and key requirements.
    Human resources planning, teambuilding, and people and talent management.
    Exploration of motivational techniques: McGregor, Ouchi, Maslow, Herzberg, Alderfer and McClelland, etc.
    Professional ethics of PM

    Stakeholder and Communications Management - 3 ECTS:

    Stakeholders: interested parties and their proximity to the project. Interests and expectations. Power and action.
    Effective 360 communication in projects.
    Types of performance and status reports. Performance indicators (EVM).
    Practical workshop on communication and soft skills.

    Integration, Documentation and Knowledge Management - 3 ECTS:

    Project charter. • Environmental factors of the company and Organizational Process Assets (OPAs).
    Flow chart of the Integrated Change Control (ICC).
    Lessons learned and knowledge management

    Módulo 6.
    Certifications and PMO Data Analytics

    Agile Transformation: Scrum (ESF and ESM), Kanban and Scaling. - 4 ECTS:

    Agile manifesto, choice of predictive or adaptive framework depending on the type of project.
    Practical workshop and preparation for SCRUM certifications: ESF and ESM 
    Practical KANBAN workshop.
    Principles of Agile Scaling, Lean Thinking and System Archetypes.

    PMO Data Analytics - 3 ECTS:

    Data Science in PMO: Quantitative analysis, data mining and visualization.
    Construction of mathematical models and Automated Learning.
    Simplifying control and analysis, identifying deviation/variance drivers and forecasting in PMO settings.
    Practical workshop on Data Science.

    Preparation for PMP Certification from the PMI - 3 ECTS:

    Comprehensive review of the PMBOK methodology version 7.
    PMP Certification mock examination workshop.
    Exploring the philosophy of the examination and analysing the type of questions
